A 2-day Unity game made for Global Game Jam Jakarta 2026, where you decipher ancient symbols to reunite a divided world.
About
Tribemask is a narrative puzzle game made for Global Game Jam Jakarta 2026 under the theme “Undefined Language”. In the game, you play as a wanderer tasked with translating the ancient language of Yggdrasil and helping reunite races that have been separated by different symbols, scripts, and ways of communicating.
The core gameplay revolves around observation and interpretation. By interacting with objects in the world, players can discover clues about letters, symbols, and meanings hidden within each culture’s language. As you piece together the puzzle, you gradually understand the world around you and uncover the role of the masks in connecting its people.
My contributions
My contributions to the project included designing and implementing the main menu, settings & pause menu, player movement, interact system, and a custom graph-based dialogue system built with Graph Toolkit.
